Alpari (U.S.) plans to offer futures and foreign exchange trading from a single platform in the next few months. The firm launched U.S. domestic and international futures and options in April and offers access to institutional and retail clients via NinjaTrader, Trade Navigator from Genesis Financial Technologies and others. FX clients access the platform through MetaQuotes Software’s MetaTrader 4.
Olga Rybalkina, Alpari ceo, said the firm expects to test and new version of the MetaTrader platform as soon as it is available in order to offer the platform as an additional way to access the futures market. “Our goal is to provide our clients the flexibility to trade through forex and futures through one platform, which is more convenient,” she said, noting that the capability is in demand from existing clients who are familiar with features available through MetaTrader 4. The futures commission merchant is also looking to add staff to its U.S. location. The firm has grown since its launch last year from five staffers to 25. Rybalinka said she has a handful of positions she expects to fill soon and plans to launch sales and compliance departments in the next few months, which will also require additional staff.
